Sabah Electricity Utilities 2000 $500M Malaysia SAP SAP BW/4HANA Data Warehouse 2019 SYNNOVE Systems In 2019, Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd. deployed SAP BW/4HANA as its Data Warehouse platform as part of a broader SAP HANA migration for the utility that generates, transmits and distributes electricity across Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan. The SAP BW/4HANA implementation served as the central data consolidation and analytic layer, aligning with existing SAP application footprints in the SAP landscape. The migration scope included migration of SAP ECC, BW and BI components along with UCES, EDAS, SMS GATEWAY, GRC, SOLMAN and Portal systems, all moved from an Oracle database to SAP HANA DB and converted to UNICODE with EHP8 applied across systems. Technical workstreams emphasized Unicode conversion, database platform replatforming to SAP HANA DB and functional stabilization of SAP BW/4HANA data models, ETL processes and reporting artifacts typical for a Data Warehouse environment. Operational integrations were preserved and revalidated, including third party interfaces and the SMS GATEWAY, while SOLMAN was used to govern operations and support post go live monitoring. The system integrator SYNNOVE Systems led the remediation and cutover activities, coordinating integration testing across the migrated SAP modules and external interfaces. Governance and rollout covered upgrade sequencing, cutover conversion to UNICODE and the SAP EHP8 application level upgrade, with process changes focused on data model rationalization and consolidated reporting workflows under SAP BW/4HANA. The deployment established a unified SAP HANA based landscape for Sabah Electricity Sdn. Bhd., with SAP BW/4HANA serving as the enterprise Data Warehouse that underpins analytics and operational reporting for generation, transmission and distribution functions.

The Alteryx One Platform deployment was positioned to support Aptiv UK’s Analytics and BI needs across finance and operations, with the finance and business analytics team using the platform to serve supply chain, FP&A, logistics, treasury, sales and real estate functions. Alteryx One Platform was configured to deliver data preparation, workflow automation, and analytic orchestration capabilities. The team used Alteryx workflows to develop decision support systems and data visualizations aimed at mitigating supply chain risks and improving productivity, and they automated more than 300 hours of manual reporting processes using Alteryx together with SQL scripts. The implementation connected Alteryx One Platform into the broader data ecosystem, consuming and preparing data from Teradata and multiple SAP ERP versions and integrating financial reporting inputs from Hyperion HFM, while Tableau Prep and SQL were used for downstream visualization and data wiring. IT collaboration focused on data architecture and pipeline wiring to enable repeatable ETL and governance of analytic workflows across supply chain and manufacturing operations, commodity tracking, and inventory reporting. Governance activities included running data and analytics trainings across global teams and supporting the establishment of an advanced Aptiv supply chain model for stress testing and risk identification. Analytics projects tied to the Alteryx One Platform supported initiatives that are documented to have unlocked $200M in savings within two years, while the platform continued to centralize automated reporting and decision support capabilities for finance and supply chain functions.
