In 2020, Lindsay Australia implemented Trimble TruckMate as its Transportation Management application. The implementation concentrated on operational control for Lindsay Transport Australia, with administration and reporting responsibilities focused on the Victoria region.
Trimble TruckMate was configured to support daily manifesting, driver paperwork tracking and trip sheet processing, and pallet control. Functional capabilities implemented included manifest generation and dispatch workflows, trip sheet capture for interstate drivers, document compliance tracking aligned to the operations schedule, and administrative reporting used by an eight person administration team operating on a 24/7 roster.
Operational workflows connected Trimble TruckMate data with payroll processes performed in Kronos for 58 payrolled staff, providing handoffs for trip sheet payment processing. The implementation covered site inductions, office staff training, ordering of stationery and uniforms, petty cash management, and regional reporting for Victoria.
Application governance was centralized under the Administration Manager who managed the administration team and who monitored and fixed system errors in Trimble TruckMate. Rostering, training, and daily manifesting processes were institutionalized to ensure driver paperwork and compliance were completed according to the operations schedule.
