Insurance | 4100 | $2.7B | Vietnam | SAS Institute | SAS Solution for IFRS 17 | Governance, Risk and Compliance | 2022 |
In 2022, PetroVietnam Insurance deployed the SAS Solution for IFRS 17 in a KPMG-led engagement to meet group IFRS 17 reporting requirements. The implementation is categorized under Governance, Risk and Compliance and targeted finance, actuarial and risk teams at the Hanoi-based insurer.
KPMG delivered an IFRS 17 Express accelerator powered by the SAS Solution for IFRS 17, onboarding a traceable calculation engine and an IFRS 17 subledger. Configuration work emphasized traceable calculation logic, subledger capture of measurement outputs, and standardized reporting workflows to support consolidated IFRS 17 disclosures.
The deployment was completed in less than 12 weeks, using KPMG's accelerator to accelerate setup and configuration of the calculation engine and subledger. Operational coverage spanned finance, actuarial, and risk functions, aligning calculation outputs and subledger records to group reporting processes for IFRS 17.
Governance and process restructuring focused on centralizing calculation traceability and subledger outputs to improve auditability across finance and actuarial workflows, with KPMG acting as the implementing partner. The engagement demonstrates a rapid, partner-orchestrated rollout of the SAS Solution for IFRS 17 within the Governance, Risk and Compliance domain at PetroVietnam Insurance.

Distribution | 239 | $205M | United Kingdom | Kerridge Commercial Systems Limited | Kerridge k8 ERP | Distribution ERP | 2018 |
In 2018, Routeco implemented Kerridge k8 ERP as its Distribution ERP to address laborious manual Accounts Payable and order management processes that were constraining growth. The deployment prioritized digital invoice handling and automated order capture to reduce time spent printing, scanning and emailing documents between departments, and to improve accuracy of order entry and delivery fulfillment.
Kerridge k8 ERP was configured to work alongside Esker solutions for Accounts Payable automation and order management, leveraging Esker’s AI based machine learning to correct keystroke errors and formatting deviations, and to automate the ingestion and posting of invoices and customer orders. Functional capabilities delivered include automated AP processing, fully automated order processing visible in a central dashboard, customizable management dashboards for workload tracking, and granular user access controls to tailor menu options and reports for different roles.
KPMG served as the implementation partner for the program, coordinating the configuration and rollout across Routeco’s centralised finance team and multiple customer service centres spanning several locations and countries. Integrations explicitly included the Esker automation layer feeding document and order data into Kerridge k8 ERP, enabling users to validate uploaded data within the ERP rather than performing manual entry and reconciliation.
Governance and process changes moved approval and query workflows into the digital platform, creating role based visibility and history tracking for posted invoices and orders, and enabling management to plan workloads from live dashboards. Reported outcomes from the implementation include higher productivity in AP and order management, reduced manual intervention, faster same day order processing leading to next day shipment capability, improved order accuracy and fewer pick errors, and improved employee morale and interdepartmental collaboration.
