In 2023, Herbelin deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial platform. The project refocused core enterprise data flows for order management, inventory control, costing and production planning to centralize transactional finance and operational inventory data.
The implementation configured modules for sales order processing, stock management, component cost calculation and manufacturing order tracking, reflecting the companys historical focus on fabrication orders and price calculation. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was paired with Microsoft Power BI for executive and operational dashboards and a Power Apps solution that empowers field sales to capture orders, view real time stock and track after sales repair flows.
Integrations extend across the Microsoft stack, using Office 365 for collaboration and Microsoft Teams for communication and telephony, with Power BI and Power Apps feeding consolidated views into finance, sales, production and after sales teams. The solution covers on site production in the Jura, field commercial teams, after sales service and the new direct retail outlet in Saint Germain des Près, and the roadmap includes plans to connect retailer point of sale systems to improve consumer and inventory visibility.
The deployment was completed with implementation partners DBE, Dynamics Business Excellence and BS-Team and a major rework of the companys order management software was finalized in late June 2023. Governance changes include cross functional dashboards and a sales workflow shift driven by the Power Apps mobile ordering, enabling real time stock driven production triggers. Reported outcomes in the program include faster order to production responsiveness, reduced manual errors and an explicit corporate objective to increase revenue by at least 15 percent and improve net cash through inventory optimization.
