In 2006, PUB implemented GE Proficy Historian at the Changi Water Reclamation Plant as a Data Historian deployment to capture and retain very large volumes of process data for compliance reporting and ongoing plant improvement. The GE Proficy Historian installation was paired with Proficy iFIX SCADA to directly support wastewater treatment operations in Singapore, consolidating operational time series and event data for downstream analysis and regulatory reporting.
The implementation was configured to provide high frequency time series collection, centralized archival storage, and historian retrieval workflows consistent with Data Historian capabilities, enabling tag oriented data modeling and query-based extraction for compliance and process optimization use cases. Integration with Proficy iFIX SCADA provided the primary data ingestion path from plant control systems, and the historian served as the authoritative repository for historical process records used by operations and engineering teams.
Jacobs acted as the system integrator VAR and CH2M HILL functioned as the engineering and integration partner for the project, which was announced in January 2006 and put into production the same year. Operational scope focused on the Changi Water Reclamation Plant and its wastewater treatment business functions, with the deployment supporting compliance reporting workflows and ongoing plant improvement activities.
