Government | 1127 | $129M | Canada | SAP | SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software | Workforce Analytics | 2023 |
In 2023, Halton Regional Police Service implemented SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software as part of a broader Workforce Analytics program. The decision and scope were formalized in a Statement of Work agreed by the Halton Regional Police Service RFP Committee, legal counsel, and PwC following a negotiation phase that concluded December 10, 2023. The implementation is recorded in public board materials detailing the agreed scope of services.
Functional scope included SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core HR, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Benefits, SAP Time and Attendance Management by WorkForce Software, SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software, and SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding. The deployment replaced OSL Employee Scheduling and covered configuration of core HR data models, time capture and attendance enforcement, forecast and roster generation capabilities, and onboarding process automation. The full application name SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software is the central scheduling and forecasting component in the agreed solution.
Integrations and interfaces were explicitly scoped to integrate and automate with the Region's SAP and the current systems architecture related to HR functions, with defined integration mappings and interface deliverables in the SoW. Supporting technical workstreams included data migration, testing, cutover and hypercare, and creation of integration mappings between Employee Central, Time and Attendance Management, and the Region SAP interfaces. Operational coverage was service wide, with training of super users and all members of the Service specified as part of the delivery.
PwC is the systems integrator named in the agreement and is accountable for project management, delivery, testing, and training activities under the SoW. Governance and control points were established through the RFP Committee, legal counsel, and PwC approvals occurring during the negotiation and contracting phase which ended December 10, 2023. Cutover and hypercare were included to support transition to the new scheduling and forecasting workflows.
The configuration centralizes Workforce Analytics for scheduling and HR rostering within the SAP and WorkForce Software suite, aligning Employee Central, Time and Attendance Management, and SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software for operational scheduling and workforce planning workflows. This implementation positions Halton Regional Police Service to operate SAP Workforce Forecasting and Scheduling by WorkForce Software across HR and rostering functions in an integrated, governed architecture.

Manufacturing | 1350 | $660M | Norway | Workday | Workday HCM | Core HR | 2019 |
In 2019 Helly Hansen implemented Workday HCM as its Core HR application. The deployment was initiated as part of a group HRIS program led by the Group Head of HR for UK & Ireland who also served as Global HR Projects Lead, with implementation support from PwC and coordination with the parent company team.
The Workday HCM configuration focused on core employee master data and workforce structuring to support multiple restructures, harmonisation of employment terms, and a unified rewards and benefits model. Configuration work explicitly addressed benefits administration, pensions and insurance scheme consolidation, employment terms harmonisation following the Musto Ltd acquisition, and global mobility monitoring and compliance workflows.
Integrations implemented alongside Workday HCM included LinkedIn Learning for learning content consumption, an e-voice survey system for employee review processes, and OneTrust for GDPR and privacy program alignment. Operational coverage extended across HR, Training, Payroll, Health and Safety, and Facilities Management functions, with rollout and governance activities spanning UK and Ireland plus coordination for program requirements across some 19 legal jurisdictions.
Governance and rollout were managed through a global HR project structure, with the Group Head of HR accountable for code of conduct launch, global mobility monitoring, and supplier consolidation for pensions and insurance. The program delivered harmonisation of suppliers and structural changes tied to achieving performance efficiencies and cost savings, while Workday HCM remained the central Core HR system for ongoing employee data and process orchestration.
