In 2022, BH Telecom partnered with domestic vendor QSS to deploy the QSS IoT Platform, an IoT Platform, to deliver a SmartPark smart parking service in Tuzla. The implementation covered 45 parking lots and approximately 2,150 parking spaces and was launched as a customer-facing SmartPark service under BH Telecom's service portfolio.
The QSS IoT Platform implementation encompassed IoT-enabled parking management including sensor based occupancy monitoring, device lifecycle management, telemetry ingestion, centralized operational dashboards, and a consumer mobile application with integrated payment capabilities. Platform configuration aligned with common IoT Platform capabilities such as real time telemetry processing, device provisioning and firmware management, and application level APIs to support the mobile front end and payment flows.
QSS is identified as the local system integrator and implementation partner, configuring the QSS IoT Platform to connect field sensor networks and edge collectors to cloud ingestion pipelines and the mobile application layer while enabling payment capability integration. Operational scope was limited to Tuzla municipal parking assets and the BH Telecom SmartPark service, with the platform operating across installed sensors, backend services, and the customer app.
Governance and rollout were organized as a regional service launch led by BH Telecom in cooperation with QSS, with implementation responsibilities including device provisioning, platform configuration, mobile app integration, and payment workflow enablement. The deployment emphasized operational orchestration between field device management, platform telemetry, and customer facing transaction processes.
