SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg was configured to digitalize end to end meat production workflows, covering livestock reception, slaughtering, disassembly, packing and labelling, and to centralize shop floor process data for operational visibility. Configuration emphasized Demand Forecasting and Planning capabilities typical of the category, aligning production scheduling, demand driven planning inputs and label generation with shop floor operations.
Softproviding AG served as the implementation partner, executing the on site deployment at the Rosario plant and consolidating shop floor process data into the SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg instance. The operational scope targeted supply chain and production functions including quality control, packing operations and labelling lines, creating a centralized production data layer to support planning and traceability workflows.
The project went live in February 2015 following the 2014 implementation phase, with Softproviding AG reporting process automation and improved traceability as documented in its success story. Governance and rollout followed the supply chain and production blueprint with phased cutovers at the Rosario plant to centralize production and traceability processes under SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg.

In 2022, Perutnina Ptuj implemented SAP Meat and Fish Management by msg as part of an SAP S/4HANA deployment at its Cakovec slaughter plant.
