In 2010 Allianz deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core ERP Financial system. The deployment supported a multi-landscape SAP estate across multiple companies in the Allianz Group, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 functioning as the central financial backbone for accounting and controlling activities.
Configuration and functional scope centered on ECC 6 EHP7 landscapes, configured for enterprise financial workflows typical of an ERP Financial application, including financial accounting and controlling capabilities and standard transaction management. SAP Basis engineering work focused on landscape provisioning, system parameter tuning, patch levels and enhancement pack maintenance to keep ECC 6 EHP7 aligned with cross-suite interoperability requirements.
The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation operated alongside and integrated with other SAP components, specifically SRM 7 EHP3 for procurement flows, CRM 7 EHP3 for front-office customer processes, PI 7.4 and Gateway 7.4 for middleware and API orchestration, Portal 7.4 and Fiori for user access and UX, and BI 7.5 with Business Objects 4.1 for reporting and analytics. Integration patterns relied on SAP PI and Gateway for synchronous and asynchronous messaging, while Portal and Fiori were used to surface transactional and analytical functionality to diverse user groups across the group.
Operational governance was driven by ITIL-aligned Incident, Change and Problem Management, with responsibilities that included upgrades and patching, maintenance, optimization and project planning. SAP Basis engineering collaborated closely with SAP functional teams, technical teams, stakeholders, end-users and external providers, and provided subject matter expertise in Java, Portal, Fiori and SAP Cloud Platform to support ongoing operations and platform extensibility.

In 2020 Allianz deployed SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a target HR IT core global system under HRT. SAP SuccessFactors Compensation sits in the Compensation Management category and is integrated into the wider SuccessFactors suite that Allianz has designated as its core HR platform.
The deployment included core SuccessFactors modules Employee Central, Performance management, Compensation management, Talent management, Learning management, and Workforce Analytics SFA, with SAP SuccessFactors Compensation configured to operate alongside Employee Central and Performance management to support standard compensation planning processes, merit and bonus workflows, pay component modeling, and approval routing. Configuration emphasis was placed on aligning compensation data with performance ratings and centralized employee records to enable consistent global compensation workflows.
The rollout targeted all Allianz Operating Entities in scope of HRT, with SAP eRecruiting retained for global internal and external job market needs until SuccessFactors Recruiting is designed and rolled out as part of the suite. System integrator msg supported the technical deployment, tenant configuration, and phased entity onboarding under the governance of Allianz Technology.
Service descriptions and pricing models for HR IT applications and related shared services are provided by Allianz Technology in accordance with the Allianz Procurement Standard, and HR Platforms, Analytics and Reporting must be advised of any change to HR IT applications. Any exceptions related to HR IT rules are to be discussed with the Head of HR PAR, and modules currently in design to be folded into the suite include On-boarding, Recruiting, and Career Site Builder.
