Instabill Technologies Legacy InstaBill AR Automation ERP Financial Management n/a 2017 2017 In 2017, Apollo Health and Lifestyle implemented InstaBill as its AR Automation platform, initiating a move away from the previously used MedMantra billing software. The deployment focused on Accounts and Finance and Revenue Assurance functions, with explicit coverage of billing operations across clinics and central lab invoicing workflows and a concurrent transition of Financial Reporting responsibilities from the Bangalore office to the Hyderabad office. The InstaBill implementation concentrated on standard AR Automation capabilities, configured to support month end close and formal revenue reporting to the CFO, revenue driver analysis, and audit and assurance processes. Functional modules and controls put in place included structured billing controls, discounts categorization and reporting, refunds and cancellations sampling, utilization versus invoicing reconciliation for diagnostic equipment, and credit revenue invoicing reconciliation against customer invoices. Operationally the program included direct engagement with business heads and program managers to align billing reports and controls with operational processes, and development of a standard operating procedure for lab sample transfer from clinics and sample collection centers to the central lab to expose control gaps. The implementation migrated transactional billing from MedMantra to InstaBill and required detailed report structuration to preserve continuity of monthly revenue reporting and driver analytics. Governance and rollout activities were led from the Accounts and Finance team and included knowledge transfer sessions, handover of reporting responsibilities during the Bangalore to Hyderabad transition, and ongoing collaboration with the InstaBill implementation team to refine billing controls and report outputs. Staff recognitions were recorded for maintaining reporting continuity and internal controls during the migration, including an internal award for support provided during the billing system migration and an acknowledgement for verification work during the doctor payout process.
