Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Be The Match implemented Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP Financial to centralize finance operations across the National Marrow Donor Program. The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment was scoped to support enterprise financial management covering accounting, treasury, grants accounting, and procurement functions within the nonprofit. Configuration and functional scope emphasized core financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Purchasing, and Expense Management. Workstreams included chart of accounts design, fiscal calendar and period control, multi-organization ledger configuration, automated allocations and recurring entry rules, and role-based security and approval workflow configuration consistent with ERP Financial standards. Project execution was driven by functional analysis, requirements mapping, solution configuration, system testing, data conversion, and cutover planning with Oracle functional analysts engaged remotely. Governance activities focused on formalizing month-end close workflows, standardizing accounting policies in-system, and delivering training and operational documentation for finance and procurement teams to sustain the Oracle E-Business Suite implementation.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud HCM Core HR HCM Cognizant 2016 2016
In 2016, Be The Match / The National Marrow Donor Program implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR application. Cognizant served as the systems integrator for the cloud deployment while internal technical leadership continued stewardship of the on-premise Oracle eBusiness R12 estate and adjacent custom solutions. Oracle Cloud HCM was configured to address Core HR needs, aligning workforce records, position management, and benefits administration with the nonprofit's HR operational model. The implementation sat alongside a roadmap that included Order Management, Channel Revenue Management, and further Fusion HCM cloud initiatives, reflecting a phased approach to extending Oracle portfolio coverage. Technical delivery leveraged existing Oracle Applications Framework J2EE development efforts, notably a custom application for cord blood stem cell resource management that was built on Oracle eBusiness R12. The custom system provided a UIX for hospitals and donor locations to enter cord blood donations for tissue typing and allele matching to patients, and it used a loosely coupled architecture with federated inter-application messaging via IBM MQ and a service bus for runtime integration. Project governance followed an Agile approach using Scrum with three week sprints, with a technical manager responsible for building a high performing operations organization to support current services and enable rapid adoption of new Oracle EBS portfolio capabilities. Operational scope spanned HR, donor registry operations, and clinical intake workflows at hospitals and donor collection sites, with the implementation focused on integration, application lifecycle management, and cross-application messaging coordination.

SAP Legacy SAP Concur Travel Travel Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Be The Match implemented SAP Concur Travel as its Travel Management solution to centralize booking and travel coordination for the Member Engagement, Enrollment & Experience ME3 Department. The rollout targeted the Regional Engagement and Enrollment team along with coordinating center and home office staff, aligning travel booking with operational needs for directors, regional directors, account managers, operational leads, marketing managers and recruitment field teams. The implementation of SAP Concur Travel established core travel management capabilities including centralized itinerary and booking workflows, traveler profile and policy enforcement, and routing of approvals for leadership and department staff. Configuration emphasized usability for administrative specialists who made travel arrangements, and supported standard Travel Management functions such as trip reservation, itinerary consolidation, and alignment with departmental travel rules. Operationally the SAP Concur Travel deployment operated alongside Oracle iExpense and Oracle iProcurement and coexisted with the organization s SharePoint and Webex usage patterns, reflecting a multi-system administrative stack. Finance and procurement touchpoints were explicitly reflected in job responsibilities, including monthly PCard expense reporting, purchase order and request processing, and coordination with finance for budget tracking, indicating cross-functional dependency between travel, expense, and procurement processes. Governance and process ownership landed with departmental administrative specialists within ME3, who maintained controlled documents, managed email distribution lists, scheduled travel and meetings, and routed purchase orders to obtain required signatures. The implementation reinforced procedural controls around travel request submission, departmental approval routing, and the operational handoffs required for onboarding and event coordination.
