Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2012 2013
In 2012, Catholic Diocese of Arlington implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as its ERP Financial application to support accounting and accounts payable operations across its entity structure. Microsoft Dynamics GP was the primary finance system used by accounting staff to record journal entries and maintain GAAP compliant reconciliations while processing Accounts Payable activity for three separate companies within the diocese. The implementation centered on Accounts Payable functionality in Microsoft Dynamics GP, including voucher data entry, voucher review for documentation and authorization, weekly check run generation, and management of voids and reissued checks. The finance team used the system to reconcile the accounts payable subledger on a weekly and monthly cadence and to prepare associated journals and reconciliations. Operational integrations and cash management workflows were handled through online banking procedures that were coordinated with Microsoft Dynamics GP. Staff created and maintained wire transfer templates, initiated and confirmed wire and account transfers, handled stop payments, and recorded wire payments via a manual payment process, in addition to generating daily bank reports for all entities. Governance and process controls were embedded in the AP workflow, including review and approval checkpoints for vouchers, documentation for establishment of new CCDA and ACH accounts, and assessment of 1099 status as part of vendor onboarding. The implementation supported high volume processing activities, with routine handling of approximately 200 plus invoices within three day cycles, and served as the operational backbone for Accounts Payable and cash operations under the ERP Financial deployment of Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Optimizely Legacy Optimizely Ektron CMS Web Content Management Content Management n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Catholic Diocese of Arlington implemented Optimizely Ektron CMS for its Web Content Management on its public website. The Optimizely Ektron CMS deployment centralized editorial publishing, content type modeling, media asset management, and templating for parish and diocesan pages, supporting structured content authoring, approval workflows and role based editorial permissions. The deployment served the arlingtondiocese.org domain as the primary web content platform, with configuration focused on templates, content models, scheduled publishing and versioning common to Web Content Management implementations, and operationally supporting communications and digital ministry teams across the diocese. Governance emphasized editorial roles and workflow controls to manage page updates and approvals, and configuration choices favored reusable templates and permissioned publishing rather than extensive custom code.
