In 2021 Comcast deployed Redwood RunMyJobs to replace AppWorx Workload Automation and centralize scheduling across its EPM estate. Comcast implemented Redwood RunMyJobs as a Business Process Management platform to orchestrate and automate batch workflows and job scheduling for EPM operations.
The implementation focused on enterprise scheduling and job orchestration, migrating more than 1,000 automated jobs into Redwood RunMyJobs. Configuration and operational management included load balancer configuration, SSL certificate management, VM maintenance, and ongoing scheduler support and training for error handling and operational handoffs.
Integrations were explicitly implemented into the EPM landscape, including Essbase integrations such as network arrays, Anaplan VM connectivity, OneStream SIC connectivity, and Wdata Groundrunner for data orchestration, alongside broader cloud migration work. Operational coverage extended to support for more than 100 production applications and coordination with EPM engineering teams based in Philadelphia, PA.
Governance and operating rhythm were formalized during rollout, with a Senior Application Lead maintaining SOx and IA compliance through testing, evidence sharing, and system patching, and with monthly operations decks to senior management plus weekly calls with business partners to manage incidents and change control.
