In 2018, Compunnel deployed Quadients Folder Inserters as a Mailing System to centralize and automate mailroom processing across its Zurich building. The implementation targeted fulfillment, sorting and delivery workflows that supported internal departments and high volume outgoing mail operations.
Quadients Folder Inserters were configured to perform high-speed folding, automated insertion and envelope sealing, with documented capability to assemble 1,000 pieces of mail in under an hour and reach insertion speeds up to 2,500 envelopes per hour. Functional modules and configuration work focused on document folding, insertion sequencing, sealing, throughput tuning and batch run controls consistent with a Mailing System implementation.
Operational coverage included consolidated fulfillment, sorting and in-building delivery, plus dedicated workflows for processing express shipments and handling Express mail UPS and FEDEX PACKAGES. The mailroom implementation also incorporated clerical processing touchpoints, including answering phones, faxing and filing paperwork, positioning the Mailing System as a cross-functional service for facilities and customer service teams.
Governance and operational model were structured around staffed mailroom roles with a temp to perm staffing pathway, formalized sorting and fulfillment sequences, and the integration of customer service contact responsibilities into daily mail operations.
