Workday Premier ERP Workday Financial Management ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, Dayton Children's Hospital implemented Workday Financial Management. Workday Financial Management is categorized as ERP Financial and replaced Premier ERP across the organization’s finance and accounting functions. The deployment was executed as part of a broader Workday footprint that already included Workday Human Capital Management, and the configuration emphasized core ERP Financial capabilities such as general ledger consolidation, accounts payable and receivable automation, and financial reporting workflows. The Workday Financial Management instance was configured to operate within the hospital’s Workday tenant, enabling unified security models and shared master data with Workday HCM. Integrations focused on interoperability with existing clinical and operational systems were scoped to support finance processes across Dayton Children’s 17 locations, serving 20 counties in Ohio and eastern Indiana and handling approximately 75,000 patient days annually. The implementation covered finance, billing, and accounting teams across the hospital system, aligning financial recordkeeping with operational sites and departmental cost centers. Governance changes accompanied the rollout, consolidating financial workflows under a centralized Workday-driven model and leveraging role-based access control already established in Workday HCM. After success with Workday Financial Management and Workday Human Capital Management, Dayton Children’s selected Workday Supply Chain Management to further digitize business practices, and the hospital was among the early adopters as the fifth hospital and second children’s hospital to go live with Workday Supply Chain Management.
