In 2012, DEHN + SÖHNE GMBH + CO. KG initiated implementation of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Financial Accounting (FI) as part of an ERP Financial program for its global manufacturing operations. The program replaced 12 individual systems including SoftM and Semiramis, was executed over an 18 month project timeline, and targeted a go-live on 01/01/2014 with approximately 500 SAP users planned to be onboarded.
The SAP landscape deployed included SAP modules SD, MM, PP, FI, CO, GTS, PLM, WM, PS, QM and SD-LE, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Financial Accounting (FI) configured to centralize the company general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows and to interface with Controlling processes. Configuration work emphasized transactional finance and controlling integration points consistent with ERP Financial functional flows.
Infrastructure and integration architecture used an iSeries operating system with DB2 as the database, and included an LVS connection to integrate warehouse logistics. The program executed a parallel go-live of the new logistics center alongside the ERP cutover to ensure operational continuity between logistics execution and financial posting.
Operational scope spanned finance, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, quality and product lifecycle functions across Dehn, aligning transactional accounting with supply chain and production modules. Governance followed a coordinated rollout plan that culminated in the single production go-live on 01/01/2014, positioning SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Financial Accounting (FI) as the enterprise ERP Financial core for transactional accounting and integration with operational modules.
