In 2013 East West Bank implemented SAP Concur Expense as its Expense Management solution to manage employee travel and expense workflows. The deployment was positioned to support travel itinerary tracking, calendar management and expense reporting tied to HR and talent development activities.
SAP Concur Expense was configured to handle expense submission and approval workflows, expense reporting templates and travel-related expense capture for events and activities. The implementation supported routine travel itineraries and calendar coordination through Concur, aligning expense entries to specific programs rather than replacing named financial systems.
Operationally the solution was used alongside Talent Management and HR programs, including Leadership Development Program activities, 360 evaluation data collection for 50 high potential middle managers, succession planning for senior management, annual credit boot camp seminars and the Youre A Star Incentive Award Program, and the Career Path website launch. Concur managed travel and expense reporting for participants and administrators, embedding expense control and approval processes into existing HR program workflows.

| Fiserv | Legacy | Fiserv Premier Bank Platform | Core Banking | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015 East West Bank implemented Fiserv Premier Bank Platform to centralize core account processing and establish a formal environment lifecycle. The deployment targeted Core Banking functions and established discrete environments for development, tuning, user acceptance testing, production and disaster recovery.
The implementation configured Fiserv Premier Bank Platform components including Premier Director and Prologue to support account administration, transaction processing and back office posting workflows, aligned with common Core Banking functional modules. Configuration work included environment-specific tuning and customized feature delivery in coordination with third party compliance tooling.
Operational integration included Nice Actimize for BSA and AML monitoring, with five AML environments maintained for development, tuning, UAT, production and DR. The bank hosts and maintains web and application servers running WebLogic, Apache and IIS, and supports application servers on Windows 2008R2 and Windows 2012R2, with after hours support to cover international operations.
Governance was structured around a centralized application support team, led by a senior application analyst, with defined escalation paths to Actimize and Fiserv support when issues exceed in-house expertise. Change control and release workflows were executed across the DEV, Tuning, UAT, PROD and DR environments to coordinate tuning, vendor-driven customizations and production cutovers.
Operational coverage focused on BSA AML workflows, application support and IT operations, with ongoing vendor collaboration to implement customized features and resolve escalations. Fiserv Premier Bank Platform remains the central Core Banking system supporting East West Banks account and transaction processing infrastructure.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2013 | 2018 |
In 2013 East West Bank implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) under the Analytics and BI category. The engagement deployed a Microsoft SQL Server BI stack to consolidate reporting, analytical processing, and ETL orchestration across the bank's reporting workflows.
Work concentrated on SQL Server Integration Services, migrating all existing 2005 packages to 2012 with comprehensive refactoring, the introduction of standardized logging frameworks, and restartability controls. SSIS package changes included enhanced parameterization and error handling to support scheduled ETL orchestration and operational resiliency. SSAS and SSRS components were configured alongside SSIS to support analytical processing and report rendering within the same BI platform.
SSIS and SSRS were leveraged to deliver reports as attachments in emails to specific users with user specific data, implementing data driven distribution workflows and parameterized subscriptions to enforce row level delivery. The implementation tied ETL jobs to report generation and distribution schedules so that SSIS orchestration powered SSRS rendering and email delivery pipelines for user specific report content.
Governance and operational controls were embedded through the refactored packages, centralized logging for auditability, and restart capabilities to reduce manual intervention during failures. The effort emphasized repeatable ETL processes and automated report distribution workflows to standardize analytics and reporting operations.
