SAP Legacy SAP HCM Leave Management Absence and Leave Management HCM n/a 2010 2010 In 2010 ExxonMobil implemented SAP HCM Leave Management as an Absence and Leave Management solution to formalize Time Management in North America. The deployment concentrated on end to end HR time entry and payroll business process design from hire to retire, with explicit coverage of time capture, time evaluation, and quota lifecycle management. The implementation configured SAP CATS timesheet integration with core SAP modules including Project Systems and Controlling, and delivered targeted enhancements to the CATS timesheet to support cross module time posting. A custom time evaluation schema Z001 without clock time was developed, accompanied by extensive Personnel Calculation Rule configuration for holiday rules, extra maintenance hours, quota calculations based on attendance and absence, and FLSA overtime rules. Design and development work included a custom user exit to enforce maximum quota accrual limits and quota deduction logic. SAP HCM Leave Management configuration encompassed complete quota management capabilities, including seniority based quota generation, validity and deduction rules, accrual periods, transfer periods, reduction and rounding rules, base entitlement, and quota generation rules aligned to the custom time evaluation schema. Custom PCRs were written in both time and payroll to calculate overtime, shift differential, extra hours, holiday pay, quota accrual pro ration time, regular hours, and paid and unpaid absence hours. The project executed multiple testing cycles including unit testing, integration testing, parallel testing, and smoke testing to validate integrations and calculations. Operational scope covered HR and Payroll functions with downstream impacts to Project Accounting and Controlling, and employee self service and manager self service for time and payroll were configured using iView. Governance centered on controlled PCR and quota rule configuration to align time evaluation with payroll processing and absence management, supported by iterative enhancement and testing workflows.

AdDaptive Intelligence Legacy AdDaptive Intelligence Platform Account Based Marketing CRM n/a 2018 2018 In 2018 ExxonMobil implemented AdDaptive Intelligence Platform, adopting the AdDaptive Intelligence Platform as an Account Based Marketing solution. The vendor lists ExxonMobil on its customer page, documenting the relationship and confirming the platform selection. The AdDaptive Intelligence Platform deployment focused on account level audience segmentation, IP based targeting, programmatic campaign orchestration, creative personalization, and measurement capabilities common to Account Based Marketing suites. Configuration work likely centered on account lists, audience rules, creative variations for account segments, and campaign pacing controls to support targeted digital advertising and demand creation. Operationally the implementation was scoped to marketing led account based campaigns, enabling ExxonMobil marketing teams to run synchronized account outreach across digital channels and to operationalize account targeting workflows. The platform usage implies coordination between account marketing owners and campaign operations to maintain account lists and campaign calendars. Governance activities around the deployment emphasized account selection criteria, audience definition standards, campaign approval gates, and attribution reporting workflows, aligning marketing processes to the Account Based Marketing approach enabled by the AdDaptive Intelligence Platform. Documentation on the vendor site records ExxonMobil as a customer, serving as the primary public signal of adoption.

Kinaxis Legacy Kinaxis Planning.AI Advanced Planning and Scheduling SCM n/a 2024 2025 In 2024, ExxonMobil entered a co-development agreement with Kinaxis to develop Kinaxis Planning.AI under the Advanced Planning and Scheduling category, a collaboration announced publicly in October 2024. The arrangement is described as a joint development to create tailored supply and demand planning solutions for the energy sector, with the application name Kinaxis Planning.AI central to the effort. The engagement centers on planning capabilities typical of Advanced Planning and Scheduling platforms, with a focus on integrated supply planning, demand planning, and scenario modelling across refinery to customer flows. The co-development narrative indicates Kinaxis Planning.AI will be configured for scenario simulation and orchestration, constraint aware scheduling, and decision support workflows that align operational planning horizons with commercial demand signals. Operational coverage is framed at global scale, targeting refinery operations, distribution networks, and commercial planning functions across ExxonMobil sites and markets. The work is positioned to link supply side planning with customer facing demand processes, enabling consolidated scenario modelling across the enterprise without naming specific system integrations. Governance for the effort is structured as a joint roadmap between ExxonMobil and Kinaxis, reflecting iterative co-development rather than a single turnkey deployment, and the public statement emphasizes collaborative product development. The stated objectives include delivering integrated refinery to customer planning and improved scenario modelling across ExxonMobil global operations through Kinaxis Planning.AI.
