In 2016, Gewobag implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core ERP Financial system. The initiative positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support corporate finance, controlling, procurement and real estate operations within the construction and real estate business.
The implementation included developments for SAP RE-FX, FI/CO, PS, MM, SD and related components, with a focus on configuration, ABAP enhancements, custom reporting and transaction handling for leasing and property accounting workflows. FI/CO developments addressed general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cost center controlling, while RE-FX configurations and extensions targeted contract and rent accounting specific to real estate operations. Project Systems workstreams implemented PS functionality for construction project accounting, and MM and SD supported procurement to pay and billing process automation.
Operational coverage spanned finance, controlling, procurement, sales and property management teams within Gewobag in Germany. Module integrations were orchestrated inside SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to ensure transactional flows between RE-FX, FI/CO, PS, MM and SD and to maintain consistent master data and accounting postings across business functions.
Governance for the program emphasized ABAP development standards, transport management, testing cycles and role based authorizations for financial and property processes. Change control and sequenced release management were applied to manage ongoing module developments and configuration updates across systems.

In 2013, Gewobag deployed an In-House ATS as its Applicant Tracking System on the company careers website. The In-House ATS was implemented as a self-hosted recruitment application powering online job posting, candidate application intake, candidate profile management, and stage based application tracking across recruiting pipelines. Configuration focused on career site integration, configurable application forms, automated workflow stages, and recruiter dashboards for vacancy and candidate queue management.
Operational ownership is held within Gewobag HR and recruiting teams, who use the In-House ATS to manage requisitions, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and maintain candidate status histories. The deployment supports end to end candidate lifecycle management and integrates directly with the careers site for application submission, while HR uses role based access controls, approval routing, and reporting to enforce process governance. This centralized Applicant Tracking System approach aligns Gewobag recruiting activities with the company careers channel in Germany.

In 2018, Gewobag implemented the wohnungshelden Digital Real Estate Portal as its Lease Management application. Munich based PropTech Wohnungshelden GmbH digitized the letting process for the municipal Berlin based housing company Gewobag, covering all 62,000 residential and commercial units.
The implementation centralized tenant facing workflows and introduced standard Lease Management capabilities such as digital property listings, an applicant portal for online application intake, document capture and storage, automated application workflows and lease document generation. The wohnungshelden Digital Real Estate Portal was configured to manage vacancy advertising, application intake and contract orchestration across Gewobag's Berlin portfolio.
Operational scope focused on Gewobag's lettings and property management functions, aligning intake workflows with day to day leasing operations across municipal housing stock. Governance was established through centralized workflow orchestration and role based access controls to standardize handoffs between letting teams and on site property managers.
The deployment digitized Gewobag's end to end letting process and created a single digital channel for applicant interactions across the 62,000 unit portfolio. The project prioritized operational standardization and process automation within Lease Management rather than customized modular extensions.
