In 2015, Grundfos implemented Serrala FinanceSuite as an AP Automation solution. The Serrala FinanceSuite deployment was executed as part of a broader SAP Rollout Programme covering procure to pay PtP, Vendor Invoice Management VIM, order to cash OtC, record to report RtR and treasury modules, with a stated objective of harmonizing and optimizing finance processes across countries and functions.
Serrala FinanceSuite was configured to automate vendor invoice management, approval workflows, exception handling and payment orchestration consistent with AP Automation functional patterns. The implementation operated alongside SAP FSCM dispute and collections and a credit management solution, and aligned invoice processing with SAP VIM to centralize supplier invoice receipt and approval flows.
Integration points in the design referenced SAP ERP finance modules, a Treasury Internal Bank Solution integrated into SAP, cash application processes with Hanse Orga in SAP, and FIORI solutions including TVM, Cash Application and QP. The technical and operational scope included a worldwide SAP WM roll out at manufacturing sites and distribution centers and was coordinated with SAP CS related projects to ensure finance and logistics alignment.
Governance emphasized establishing best practice solutions for efficiency and quality, standardizing accounts payable and treasury workflows, and embedding Serrala FinanceSuite within the SAP rollout governance model. The initiative linked Grundfos Serrala FinanceSuite AP Automation to core finance, treasury, accounts payable and collections functions to harmonize process controls and operational procedures.

In 2019, Grundfos engaged Effective People to implement SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to replace SAP HCM. The program targeted a global go-live covering 67 countries and impacting approximately 19,000 employees, positioning SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as the Core HR system for the organization.
Effective People implemented core Employee Central functionality using standard migration and configuration patterns, and configured SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central master data to support Grundfos’ existing talent workflows. The implementation included updates to Grundfos’ Talent Modules so those modules could be created, stored, and processed on Employee Central master data, and the initial deployment enabled employee and manager self-service capabilities.
Technical integration work included standard replication from Employee Central back to SAP HCM, and integrations with SAP HCM, SAP Finance, SuccessFactors BizX, and SuccessFactors LMS to preserve cross-system data flows and talent administration processes. The rollout addressed global HR operational coverage and planned additional localization to support regional payroll systems.
Governance and process changes moved Grundfos from a centralized data maintenance model to a decentralized setup, shifting responsibility for many data maintenance tasks toward managers and employees through self-service. That restructuring required new master data governance rules and changes to HR workflows to ensure data quality and consistency across sites and regions.
The Employee Central implementation, including the first phase of self-service, was completed successfully and Grundfos planned further localization and expanded self-service rollouts. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central now operates as the Core HR backbone for global HR, talent management, and payroll integration at Grundfos.

SAP Concur Travel was instrumented to standardize T&E controls and consolidate operational processes for travel and expense administration across Grundfos.
