In 2011, INTERPOL The International Criminal Police Organization implemented Serrala FinanceSuite for AP Automation. The implementation focused on functional modules for AP invoice capture and validation, automated payment execution, remittance advice processing and cash allocation automation. Configuration work aligned Serrala FinanceSuite workflows with SAP financial constructs including AP and AR master data, payment program settings, posting keys, document types and automatic account assignment logic to preserve GL integrity.
Integrations were implemented to interface Serrala FinanceSuite with SAP FI components, specifically SAP GL, AP, AR and asset accounting, together with SAP Treasury and SAP In House Cash for liquidity posting and cash concentration. Electronic remittance automation used IDOC style REMADV EDI channels, and bank statement and lockbox handling supported formats common in the environment, including MT940 942, CAMT053 054, CODA, ETEBAC AFB120 and BAI2 to enable reconciliation and automated posting.
Governance and process controls were established through SAP style substitutions and validations, tolerance groups, reason codes, payment terms and payment program configuration, with ABAP extensibility and mass data load techniques similar to LSMW used for master data and transactional onboarding. The deployment targeted finance, treasury and accounts payable operations at INTERPOL in France and emphasized aligning Serrala FinanceSuite orchestration with existing SAP financial controls.
