| E2open | Legacy | E2open Logistyx Platform | Shipping Management | eCommerce | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, MBS Textbook Exchange implemented E2open Logistyx Platform to centralize and standardize outbound logistics across its 350,000 square foot distribution center in Columbia, MO. MBS Textbook Exchange E2open Logistyx Platform Shipping Management was applied to support the companys high volume fulfillment profile, which ships roughly four million orders per year for university bookstores, about 850 internet bookstores and direct consumer channels including students and military personnel.
The deployment consolidated multi carrier shipping orchestration, automated label generation and rate shopping based on weight, zone and cubic factors, and operationalized carrier service selection across parcel and mail alternatives. E2open Logistyx Platform was configured to remove manual relabeling steps, route shipments to the lowest practical service level, and simplify international shipping workflows, delivering end to end shipping management capabilities aligned to wholesale and e commerce fulfillment processes.
Integrations were implemented directly with major carriers, including UPS, FedEx, FedEx SmartPost, Endicia for USPS, UPS Mail Innovations and UPS Surepost services, bringing disparate carrier streams into a single platform. The implementation consolidated previously separate processing streams that had used a USPS metering station and a FedEx Café system so that all parcel and mail carrier services are managed through a unified Shipping Management layer.
Operational scope included fulfillment, shipping operations and customer onboarding processes, with configuration and governance focused on carrier rules, service mapping and rate option policies. Outcomes reported by MBS included elimination of relabeling, increased throughput and reduced labor, lower shipping costs, accelerated international shipping and simplified onboarding for new customers, all delivered through the E2open Logistyx Platform application.
