SAP Oracle E-Business Suite SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, Meghna Group of Industries migrated from Oracle E-Business Suite to SAP S/4 HANA to consolidate its ERP Financial footprint across the group. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation targeted procurement and materials management as core business functions and was scoped for deployment across 35 legal entities within the Meghna Group. The deployment centered on the MM Module with a dedicated MM Module lead responsible for process design and documentation, configuration inputs, and creation of KDS, Material Master Data, Vendor Master Data, and PR and PO release strategy for 35 companies. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation workstreams included SAP Ariba Sourcing and Commerce Automation, SAP OpenText VIM solution implementation, and SAP OpenText xECM involvement, with business processes mapped for complex procurement scenarios under the MM Module. Integration architecture included synchronous and asynchronous interfaces between SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Ariba, document capture and content management flows to OpenText VIM and xECM, and a SAP slave system dedicated to MM module testing and staged cutover activities. The program executed systems integration testing and user acceptance testing across procurement stakeholders, translated business requirements into functional specifications, and provided ongoing troubleshooting of application processes prior to rollout. Governance was implemented through formal process documentation, functional business system design, test protocols, status reporting and risk reporting, and targeted end user training and workshops for purchase function users and core team members. This narrative captures the Meghna Group of Industries SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial implementation with a focus on Purchase and MM operational coverage and the governance mechanisms used to operationalize the solution.
