In 2017, Nestle USA implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial platform. The program was executed through the Operations Finance Costing Center of Competence, with a project manager role focused on converting a split SAP architecture to a mono solution and operationalizing the SAP S/4 HANA implementation.
Implementation concentrated on finance and control capabilities with explicit emphasis on costing and controlling workflows. Workstreams included configuration of costing processes, structured testing cycles, and staged Go-Live rollout across the Finance & Control community, while the project team provided overall costing support to manufacturing teams.
Operational governance was centralized in the Center of Competence, using a project manager-led structure to coordinate testing, issue triage, and cutover activities for the S/4 HANA Go-Live. The deployment aligned costing and finance control practices with manufacturing cost operations, embedding SAP S/4 HANA into Finance & Control and manufacturing support functions.

The implementation is situated within the Payroll, Time and Benefits team and includes production support, requirements gathering and management of end to end implementation activities.
SAP HCM Benefits configuration and functional workstreams covered Annual Enrollment, Savings 401K administration and Pension processing, with responsibilities spanning interfaces, configuration, testing and technical documentation. | AVEVA Group | Legacy | AVEVA Wonderware | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Nestle USA deployed AVEVA Wonderware as an Asset Performance Management solution to support MES and electrical and automation operations within its Beverage Division. The AVEVA Wonderware implementation formed the platform backbone for plant-level MES-E&A activities and was aligned to a Plant E&A-MES Five-Year Plan that governed reliability, asset optimization, and operational consistency.
Configuration work centered on HMI and SCADA interfaces, operator displays, alarm management and asset monitoring workflows consistent with Asset Performance Management practices. The implementation included formalized standards and troubleshooting methodologies for controls and automation systems, and ongoing platform lifecycle activity included converting the Wonderware plant platform from version 2012R2 to the 2017 release as part of sustained maintenance and upgrades.
Integrations were executed directly with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix controllers, Siemens PLC controllers and RS Logix HMI protocols to provide real-time telemetry and control for production lines. The AVEVA Wonderware environment was used to support aseptic filling and flash pasteurization processes, automated storage and retrieval systems with 12 cranes, and plant electrical monitoring tied to a 25MV power distribution footprint spanning 13.2kV down to 480V across multiple electrical rooms and transformers.
Operational governance for the AVEVA Wonderware deployment was rooted in the plant Electrical & Automation organization, which managed engineering, integrator coordination, technician training and CAPEX project participation. The governance model enforced corporate guidelines and regulatory requirements for MES-E&A work, while standards and training reinforced runbook-driven operations and troubleshooting across production, maintenance and engineering teams.
