Configuration work covered invoice validation, routing and workflow orchestration consistent with AP Automation functional workflows. The Source to Pay Systems Administrator partnered with New York Life’s Enterprise Technology team to drive integrations and convert business needs into system design and development. Change coordination involved the Finance Project Management Office, contracts management and vendor management stakeholders, aligning SAP Ariba Invoice with procurement, compliance reporting and spend analysis requirements. Operational coverage included daily operations, troubleshooting and continuous improvement across Source to Pay functional organizations. Governance and operations were structured around a small managed team reporting to the Source to Pay Systems Management Lead, with responsibilities for staff management, daily monitoring, end user support, and ensuring performance check‑ins are completed on time. System management responsibilities included overseeing testing, leading installation of maintenance releases and patches, preparing user training plans, and maintaining compliance and operational reporting.

Integrations were exercised and validated across SAP FICO, MM, Ariba and S 4 HANA components, with test data created for MM, Ariba, FICO and HR to support end to end scenarios. Test execution occurred across Dev, QA and Pre-Prod landscapes, and Service-now and HP ALM were used to log and manage defects and retesting workflows. Operational governance centered on SOLMAN CBTA test orchestration, daily test status reporting to test captains, and structured defect review meetings to manage remediation cycles. Regression test execution was organized by release across finance, HR and supply chain modules to preserve cross-functional payroll and benefits processing integrity.

By 2019 New York Life consolidated multiple back office instances onto a single FINEOS AdminSuite platform, establishing a single core for US group benefits operations and enabling a $4.1B book of business to run on one core platform. The deployment focused on centralizing operational processing under NYL GBS, bringing policy administration, claims, billing, and absence into a unified Insurance ERP environment. Governance and rollout were managed through NYL GBS in coordination with FINEOS, using phased delivery to align regulatory deadlines and operational readiness. The program emphasized platform centralization and standardized workflows for group benefits administration, with consolidation and single platform operation stated as the primary structural outcomes.
