Operational deployment was executed to operate alongside existing SAP VIM and FOOD STAR invoice handling practices, reflecting staff proficiency with those systems and continued interaction with the broader payables ledger. The solution interfaced with the corporate payables processes used by inventory control, buyers, and vendors, and was used as the platform for generating weekly, monthly and annual reports for executive management and for state tax reporting responsibilities.
Governance and process changes centered on embedding SOX compliance checks into approval gates, standardizing documentation of bills of lading and receiving audits, and formalizing workflows for vendor setup and invoice exception resolution.
