Configuration work aligned chart of accounts harmonization, accounting document posting controls and fixed asset lifecycle management to typical ECC 6.0 financial workflows and oil and gas accounting requirements.
The project consolidated transactional finance processes into a single SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance to support accounting, asset management and financial consolidation across corporate and operational business units. As a migration from SAP R/3, the program established SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the authoritative ERP Financial system for Sapura Energy.
Governance and process workstreams formalized standardized month end close procedures, centralized chart of accounts governance and financial approval workflows, and defined ongoing support and release management practices consistent with ECC 6.0 lifecycle management. The implementation positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support core finance functions and compliance activities for Sapura Energy within the ERP Financial category.

Integrations and operational coverage included consumption of timesheet system inputs for payroll costing and operational coordination across HR, Administration and Accounts teams on staffing, payroll and contract matters. Operational workflows extended to project manpower loading processes and recurring monthly reporting to headquarters, with explicit notification chains to LAS, Attendance, Contract, Payroll functions and heads of department.
Governance and process orchestration were oriented around formal proposal preparation for management approvals, HOD notification and confirmation on manpower and payroll strategies, and letter distribution routines prepared by the Contract Team. The SAP HCM (HR) Core HR deployment therefore combined workforce planning, time-driven payroll costing and cross-department notification workflows to support staffing and payroll processes.
