ST Microelectronics Technographics
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by ST Microelectronics and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 51370 ST Microelectronics employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that ST Microelectronics has purchased the following applications: Amazon EC2 for Application Hosting and Computing Services in 2021, Tuleap ALM for Application Lifecycle Management in 2016, Black Duck Polaris Platform for Application Security (AppSec) in 2025 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems ST Microelectronics is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Microsoft , Tuleap or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing ST Microelectronics revenues, which have grown to $16.13 billion in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for ST Microelectronics intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

| Tuleap | Legacy | Tuleap ALM | Application Lifecycle Management | ITSM | n/a | 2016 | 2017 |
In 2016, STMicroelectronics implemented Tuleap ALM to centralize Application Lifecycle Management for roughly 10,000 collaborators across its software development and quality assurance organizations. The deployment comprised multiple Tuleap instances configured to support embedded and semiconductor software projects, with an explicit operational focus on teams in Europe and France and a stated objective to improve QA practices and ISO compliance.
Tuleap ALM was configured to provide integrated test management capabilities and embedded Git support, with broad use of trackers and the Agile Dashboard for portfolio and release planning. Functional workflows emphasized test case creation, execution and traceability alongside integrated source control, enabling coordination between development and QA activities and supporting release orchestration for embedded projects.
The implementation architecture used multiple, centralized Tuleap instances to unify ALM processes across sites without specifying a single global instance, providing consolidated artifact management and visibility for distributed teams. Git integration is explicitly part of the configuration, and test management was adopted as the primary quality assurance tooling within Tuleap ALM.
Governance changes included standardizing test management and traceability practices to align with ISO requirements, and adopting Agile Dashboard-driven portfolio planning to restructure release and sprint governance. The project targeted improved QA and ISO compliance as an outcome, while centralizing Application Lifecycle Management to increase operational consistency across software development and QA functions.

In 2025, STMicroelectronics implemented the Black Duck Polaris Platform to centralize application security capabilities under its Application Security (AppSec) program. The deployment incorporated Black Duck SCA and Coverity to automate end to end SBOM generation and strengthen software security for its microcontroller and embedded product lines in Europe.
Black Duck Polaris Platform was configured to run software composition analysis and static analysis across firmware repositories, producing SBOM artifacts and consolidated vulnerability findings. The implementation emphasized policy driven scanning, automated SBOM production during continuous integration builds, and centralized visibility of open source inventory and static analysis results. These configurations align with Application Security (AppSec) functions such as vulnerability identification, SBOM management, and compliance reporting.
Operational scope targeted European embedded and microcontroller development teams, integrating scanning into development workflows and vulnerability triage processes to support product security and regulatory readiness. The platform consolidated SCA and static analysis outputs for security engineering, firmware development, and compliance teams, creating a single source of truth for SBOM artifacts and security findings.
STMicroelectronics reported improved SBOM automation and enhanced regulatory readiness as outcomes of the deployment, and the initiative strengthened software security controls for the product lines covered.
