SAP Legacy SAP HCM Benefits Benefits Administration HCM Birlasoft 2015 2015
In 2015, Tennant Company implemented SAP HCM Benefits as part of a hybrid SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP on premise payroll architecture. The engagement, delivered with implementation partner Birlasoft, positioned SAP HCM Benefits within a core hybrid that kept payroll and benefits processing on premise while Employee Central served as the global system of employee and organizational data, supporting Benefits Administration and HR operations across the enterprise. The implementation configured SAP HCM Benefits modules to continue benefits and downstream HR data consumption, while Employee Central provided master employee and organizational records. Integration architecture used SAP Cloud Integration SCI and the SAP Business Integration Builder BIB framework for data mapping, with replication patterns that included OData web service calls and CSV based import and export via the Employee Data Import Export Framework. The narrative explicitly situates SAP HCM Benefits in the broader Employee Central hybrid, maintaining payroll continuity and benefits processing threads. Integrations and operational coverage were scoped to 18 countries with multilingual support and data migration activity for 12 countries to populate Employee Central. The project integrated benefits and payroll touch points with third party endpoints referenced in the program such as Concur, Blue Cross, and Cornerstone, while Tennant and Birlasoft revised plans to defer non US payroll integrations with ADP. Tennant IT took ownership of much of the SCI and BIB integration work, reflecting a governance split between internal technical ownership and Birlasoft solution leadership. Governance and rollout followed an agile iterative methodology with prepare, explore, realize and deploy phases, and a revised, simplified scope to reduce risk. The team deferred broad employee self service and mobile task rollout and postponed workforce time and attendance to later phases to stabilize the SAP HCM Benefits baseline. Leadership roles included Tennant IT Manager Subramanian Hari guiding the SAP technical platform and Birlasoft solution leadership overseeing configuration and integration work. Project outcomes reported in program materials were delivery on time and on budget, integration performance that exceeded expectations, and more transparent and timely employee data for HR and Benefits Administration. Challenges called out included initial readiness for organizational change, the decision to simplify the initial scope which will slow adoption, and the recommendation to begin integration activity once testable data sets were available to speed troubleshooting and stabilization.

Zycus Legacy Zycus iAnalyze Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2012 2012
In 2012 Tennant Company implemented Zycus iAnalyze as part of a procurement Spend Analysis Solution in the Analytics and BI category. The rollout represented a procurement analytics adoption focused on indirect spend visibility for strategic procurement and commodity management teams. The implementation centered on Zycus’ artificial-intelligence powered AutoClass for rapid spend-data classification and the iAnalyze Solution for spend discovery, prioritization and analysis workflows. Zycus iAnalyze was used to process a month’s worth of actual spend data during a proof-of-concept phase, and an initial round of spend data extraction and classification was completed before broader rollout. Operational coverage targeted Tennant’s global procurement organization, with the procurement and indirect sourcing functions named explicitly as primary users, and plans to extend iAnalyze to each of its global locations across the Americas, Europe Middle East and Africa, and the Asia Pacific region. The deployment implied centralized spend-data processing followed by local user access to analytics and reporting, enabling commodity managers to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities. Governance and rollout followed a competitive selection and proof-of-concept process, with the vendor presenting a business case based on actual data. Tennant reported accuracy of classified spend data and ease of training and user adoption for the iAnalyze tool, and the implementation validated hypothesis-driven opportunity identification for procurement.
