The deployment concentrated on AP invoicing and PO-driven payment controls, with configuration to support AP auto-debit confirmation, AP clearing, invoice validation and exception routing. SAP Ariba Invoice was configured to enforce PO management controls, invoice-to-payment matching logic, and credit management workflows, together with operational rules to improve timeliness and accuracy of payables processing.
Integrations and automation observed in practice included EDI invoice submission channels automated with robotic process automation, RPA-driven completeness checks for invoices arriving in the customer portal, and automation of remittance handling into the deduction settlement process. Operational coverage explicitly spanned interactions with the U.S. subsidiary team and the centralized Treasury and Finance Shared Services group, enabling cross-border invoice handling and issue escalation between sites.

The rollout covered HR and talent management functions across corporate and subsidiary HR organizations, embedding compensation workflows into existing talent processes.
Governance was centralized through the CornerStone Compensation application with defined compensation policies, approval routing, audit trails, and calibration workflows to standardize pay governance across business units. In 2020, Thai Union Group engaged production support for ECI Macola as part of a Manufacturing ERP,Distribution ERP initiative focused on stabilization and stock monitoring. The engagement ran from January 2020 to March 2020 and was executed on site to address immediate operational continuity and inventory alignment between systems.
The implementation work centered on inventory and purchase to pay workflows, with the consultant acting in a SAP Purchase to Pay role. Functional activities included SAP Inventory Reconciliation, transactional data extraction and validation, LSMW creation for transactional data processing, and support for migrating fish stock processes into new customized movement types. Training materials were produced and users were trained on SAP MM usage to support the stabilized processes.
Integration work emphasized interface monitoring between SAP MM and ECI Macola, including daily monitoring of IDOC and RFC transactions and remediation of failed interface transactions. The team coordinated with the third party responsible for Macola interfaces to provide fixes and workarounds, and provided on site IoT related support for stock interface transactions to ensure alignment of stock records between SAP and Macola.
Project governance included initiating project planning activities, scope and timeline management, stakeholder expectation management, daily status reporting, and structured root cause analysis to address recurring issues. Production support covered AMS related issues such as output message errors, master data errors, price errors and interface errors, and the explicit objective of the engagement was to stabilize the system and ensure stocks were aligned across SAP and ECI Macola.
