| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2022 | 2023 |
In 2021, Truist migrated from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA. SAP S/4 HANA was provisioned as the ERP Financial platform to centralize core finance, treasury and accounting operations across the bank.
The implementation encompassed SAP FICO modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting and Bank Accounting, with explicit configuration of automatic account determination and vendor and customer account groups. Asset Accounting configuration included chart of depreciation creation, account determination, screen layout rules, number ranges, asset classes, depreciation keys and depreciation calculation methods. Profitability Analysis COPA workstreams were configured with operating concern setup, characteristics and value fields, derivation rules, valuation and drilldown reporting.
Integration workstreams and supporting tools were part of the program, with FI integrations to MM and SD, iDoc interfaces and ABAP based development for RICEFW objects. Data migration activities used LSMW and functional specifications were written for complex development objects. The broader environment included Solution Manager, Redwood, HP ALM, ServiceNow and VERTEX for tax configuration, and SAP S/4 HANA was instrumented with SAP Fiori for IOS and Android devices.
Governance and operationalization included Fiori application configuration and end user training, creation of training documentation, and handover into production support where critical post go-live issues were resolved. Functional teams maintained payment configuration, tolerance groups, dunning and lockbox and EBS posting rules to automate accounting postings. Truist SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial was positioned to support ongoing finance process orchestration and cross module integration.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017, Truist implemented Workday Absence Management. The engagement involved advising on developing and delivering distinctive content within Workday Absence, Benefits, Security, Performance and Talent, with a focus on configuring absence workflows consistent with Absence and Leave Management functionality.
Workday Absence Management configuration centered on absence plans, entitlements, carryover rules, approval workflows and role based security controls for leave events. Advisory work extended to content and configuration patterns that touch Benefits, Security, Performance and Talent modules to maintain consistent eligibility and profile data across employee lifecycle processes.
Integrations were realized as intra Workday module linkages, aligning absence records with Benefits, Security, Performance and Talent to reduce data reconciliation and to enforce eligibility and approval logic. Operational coverage included HR operations, benefits administration, talent management and security teams, reflecting a cross functional deployment model.
Governance emphasized configuration standards and documented configuration thinking, with a lead advisory role creating and delivering practical configuration approaches and collaborating with other team members on rollout and change control. The narrative centers on system architecture through configuration, module alignment and governance rather than on specific measured outcomes.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2020 | 2020 |
In 2020 Truist implemented AppWorx Workload Automation from Broadcom as a Business Process Management platform to centralize enterprise job scheduling and orchestration for data engineering and batch processing. AppWorx Workload Automation was positioned to manage end to end ETL and workload automation across Truist’s data pipeline footprint, aligning the application, category, and business function as Truist AppWorx Workload Automation Business Process Management for analytics and data movement workloads.
The deployment emphasized scheduler and orchestration capabilities common to the Business Process Management category, including dependency-based job flows, calendar and event triggers, workload prioritization, and SLA monitoring. Implementations focused on coordinating data processing modules and engines that Truist uses, orchestrating Hive and Pig batch jobs, Spark processing, Sqoop and TPT extracts, and downstream loads into Redshift, using the job control and automation features of AppWorx Workload Automation.
Architecturally the AppWorx deployment operated across a hybrid environment, bridging on-premise Hadoop HDFS clusters running on RHEL and a broad AWS estate that included EC2, S3, Lambda, Redshift and CloudWatch for monitoring. The implementation integrated with existing operational tooling reflected in the environment, orchestrating workflows that touch UC4 scheduling tool driven ETL tasks, Teradata and Oracle sources, GitHub based code repositories, and automated cloud deployments executed via Chef and AWS CloudFormation templates.
Governance and rollout followed Agile practices, with iterative development, weekly sprints, stand ups and customer reporting backlogs guiding configuration and automation work. Operational readiness included deployment support, change management and written deployment instructions, role assignments for event driven Lambda processing, and runbook documentation to support ongoing scheduling, monitoring and troubleshooting of AppWorx Workload Automation across Truist’s data engineering and analytics teams.
