In 2012, Westrock implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support core ERP Financial processes across PBO plants, warehouses, and subcontractor sites, executing a targeted rollout from May 2012 through December 2012. The implementation covered the PBO Division operational footprint, bringing manufacturing sites, distribution warehouses, and external subcontractor locations under a consistent ERP Financial configuration and operational model.
The project scope included system configurations and targeted enhancements, master data review, and comprehensive configuration of cost accounting capabilities. Key functional capabilities implemented in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 included Material Ledger and Standard Cost processing, with documented plant closing workflows that referenced DUV, Cost Collectors, Production Orders, and Order Settlements to support manufacturing cost capture and inventory valuation.
Testing and validation phases were structured across unit and integration levels, with UAT testing, system validation, and regression testing, followed by post go live ECP validation, stabilization, and ongoing support. The team also supported the period closing process and led training and testing activities that encompassed all functional areas, delivering transaction based and cross functional training materials to operational users.
Program governance included ongoing management of the PBO Division annual standard cost process for manufacturing sites, warehouses, and subcontractors, and a formal post go live gap analysis as sites went live. Lessons learned were documented and processes were modified to prevent reoccurrences, enabling knowledge transfer to end users and operational stabilization of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 for ERP Financial operations.

In 2015, Westrock implemented Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management, deploying the application into its existing PeopleSoft HCM estate. The PeopleSoft environment included PeopleTools 8.56, HCM 9.2 and Oracle 12c, and PeopleSoft was used for Core HR, Payroll and Benefits for the US and Canada.
The Oracle PeopleSoft Absence Management implementation focused on standard absence and leave workflows, eligibility and accrual processing, and integration points for external absence providers. Configuration and development work covered absence plans, eligibility rules, time reporting data models and entitlement calculations aligned with Absence and Leave Management functional terminology.
Integrations were a central element, the project delivered interfaces to absence providers and multiple vendor systems across countries, and implemented a third party Workflow based Hiring application for 15+ global countries in 10+ languages. The project team designed and developed multiple interfaces for various vendors and handled interface processing within the Oracle 12c database layer, aligning absence transactions with payroll and benefits feeds.
Governance and process changes included workflow eForms to collect requisition and candidate information and automation of the hiring approvals chain, with close collaboration between business analysts and end users to translate HR process requirements into PeopleSoft configuration and targeted customizations. Ongoing support responsibilities covered PeopleSoft changes and continued customization to sustain Absence and Leave Management functionality within Westrocks enterprise HCM landscape.

Inventory and shop floor control functions provided two week advance schedules and detailed completion plans to supervisors and customer service, supporting rush order management and daily fulfillment planning.
Operational governance included defined scheduling and procurement workflows, supplier communication protocols for resolving fulfillment discrepancies and inspection-driven quality checkpoints embedded in purchase order lifecycles. Steady state operations were centered on the purchasing and scheduling organization at the plant, with the Purchasing and Scheduling Manager responsible for optimizing Amtech MRP scheduling system workflows and streamlining system-driven processes. A documented achievement was the orchestration of efficient utilization of the Amtech MRP scheduling system to streamline order execution from placement through fulfillment.
