Operationally the expense program was run alongside HR and payroll operations, with MHR iTrent implemented by the organization with the project manager from start to finish. Payroll and related responsibilities included processing and running payroll single handedly for 1200 employees, producing P11D filings, maintaining pension contribution uploads and annual reporting, and coordinating expense approvals that fed into payroll and accounting reconciliations. Finance operational scope included reconciling multiple ledgers and accounts, posting month end journals, and reconciling mark to market costings, share based payments, prepayments and accruals. Governance and process ownership were consolidated under finance and HR functions, with SAP Concur Expense supporting expense controls and MHR iTrent supporting payroll and statutory reporting workflows.

Operational coverage extended to the Williams Racing workforce of approximately 690 employees, with over 500 employees attending Lunch and Learn sessions to date and about 200 employees recorded as having attended the manager level programs. The work referenced core competency development across departments and included employees across the company group where applicable. The rollout targeted managers, team leaders and general staff for compliance and skills programs. Governance and process ownership remained with the interim Learning and Development Manager, who drove content marketing, enrollment workflows and alignment of performance reviews with new competency frameworks. The role also included responsibility for implementing a new performance management system scheduled for the September rollout and ensuring performance reviews are carried out. As contextual company information, Williams Advanced Engineering received the Queen's Gold Award for Innovation in 2018.
