In 2017, Wind Tre implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial platform for the finance division, initiating a program to consolidate and harmonize finance systems across the merged entity. The effort established an end state application architecture to support corporate accounting, reporting, and centralized transactional finance operations.
The implementation encompassed Oracle Fusion cloud applications for accounts receivable and commissioning alongside the Oracle Cloud ERP core financials, addressing month end closing and consolidated financial statement workflows. Functional scope explicitly included procurement, accounting, reporting, and the adoption of IFRS15 aligned accounting processes.
The program coordinated a migration pathway from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to Oracle E-Business Suite as part of consolidation activities, while introducing Oracle Cloud ERP and Fusion modules to centralize finance operations. Operational coverage focused on the finance division and the new joint venture Day 1 consolidation effort, with the project team delivering a combined month end close and financial statement reporting capability for the JV in 2016.
Governance was led by the Finance Systems and Performance Management organization which managed the IT budget, program and issue management, and coordination of finance, procurement, accounting and reporting demand on IT systems. The initiative included planning for decommissioning SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and the global instance implementation for the finance division, positioning Oracle Cloud ERP as the ERP Financial backbone for Wind Tre.

In 2017 Wind Tre selected MATRIXX Digital Commerce to power monetization for its Very Mobile digital brand and to modernize its cloud native BSS for consistent, real time charging across channels in Italy. The MATRIXX Digital Commerce deployment is positioned within the eCommerce category and centralizes pricing, offer orchestration and monetization functions for consumer commerce flows.
The implementation leveraged a cloud native architecture to deliver real time charging, offer management and policy driven monetization, with configuration focused on accelerating offer launches and ensuring consistent commerce behavior across channels. Functional capabilities implemented included real time rating and charging, a centralized offer catalog and orchestration layer, and channel mediation to enforce unified entitlements at the point of sale.
Integrations were scoped to digital channels and operator core systems to provide consistent charging across web, mobile and retail touchpoints, and the platform supported Wind Tre’s migration to a public cloud based monetization stack. Operational coverage targeted the Very Mobile brand in Italy and impacted commerce, product marketing, billing and operations teams.
Governance followed a multi year commercial and operational model, the initial selection in 2017 was renewed through 2030 to enable phased rollout and long term platform continuity. The renewal and cloud native architecture helped simplify operations, accelerate offer launches and sustain real time monetization controls as Wind Tre moved to a public cloud based monetization environment.
