In 2022 Fortive implemented AWS Virtual Private Cloud within its Application Hosting and Computing Services footprint to centralize networking and compute across its global operating companies. The implementation also incorporated centralized Palo Alto device management via Panorama M-100 and M-500, Cisco ISE for authentication, and protections such as AWS Shield and Azure Application Gateway with WAF, with telemetry forwarded to Amazon CloudWatch and Azure Monitor for dynamic monitoring and logging.
Operational governance emphasized firewall policy administration, rule analysis and documented configuration management, with routine reporting and inventory maintenance to support network operations teams. The deployment linked AWS Virtual Private Cloud networking constructs to directory and identity services through AWS Directory Service and Azure Active Directory to standardize authentication across distributed architectures and to enable coordinated policy enforcement within Freddie Mac Application Hosting and Computing Services.

Governance aligned infrastructure ownership with HomeTiger operations and cloud engineering for ongoing management of the AWS Virtual Private Cloud deployment.
