BAE Systems | Aerospace and Defense | 111400 | $26.3B | United Kingdom | Bizagi | Bizagi Platform | Business Process Management | 2020 | n/a |
In 2020, BAE Systems deployed the Bizagi Platform to extend enterprise process automation and orchestration, placing the initiative squarely in the Business Process Management category. The Bizagi Platform was positioned as a low-code process automation layer to complement core systems and to provide a centralized environment for modeling and executing business workflows.
The implementation delivered highly bespoke processes across procurement, finance, manufacturing and project management, reflecting business needs for custom workflows that standard ERP configurations could not satisfy. BAE Systems integrated the Bizagi Platform with its ERP footprint to orchestrate end to end processes, enabling transaction handoffs and state management between ERP records and automated process instances.
Functionally the deployment emphasized typical Business Process Management capabilities including process modeling, workflow automation, form driven task routing and case handling, implemented through low-code configuration and reusable process components. Connectivity was realized through standard integration patterns such as API driven connectors and message based orchestration to synchronize master data and transactional events with enterprise systems.
Governance and process control were applied to coordinate cross functional ownership, approvals and change management for the bespoke workflows, enabling consistent rollout across the identified business functions. The program achieved new levels of automation to optimize operations across multiple departments, while the Bizagi Platform provided a maintainable orchestration layer for ongoing process evolution.
