The Broadridge Dataphile implementation integrated explicit upstream and downstream interfaces inventoryed during the project, including CTM Omgeo for settlement messaging, Fundserv for mutual fund flows, connectivity to market venues TSX and NEO for trade data, IRESS for market and data feeds, FX Connect for foreign exchange routing, SS&C Net for fund accounting interactions, Broadridge BPSA for related services, and retail channels such as Scotia Online Brokerage and SCORE. Project activities included coordinating test environments and test data with those counterpart systems to ensure settlement information flowed correctly across the ecosystem.
Governance and execution were led through a dedicated quality assurance function responsible for test strategy, plans and test cases, with results tracked in HP ALM and defects escalated through stakeholder status meetings. The QA lead coordinated industry level testing, including participation in CDS wide testing and Fundserv mock testing, and validated readiness ahead of the September 5, 2017 live date to ensure compliance with the regulation of the Canadian Securities Administrators CSA.
