Sempra Energy | Utilities | 16835 | $16.7B | United States | HRTMS | JDXpert | Task Management | 2019 | n/a |
In 2019, Sempra Energy implemented JDXpert as a Task Management application to orchestrate compensation workflows supporting the companywide annual merit process and incentive compensation payout process. The deployment placed JDXpert under the compensation operations domain with a designated system administrator from the Senior Compensation Operations team responsible for UAT, data validation, training and communications, and day to day application support for the corporate compensation team.
JDXpert was configured to manage workflow orchestration for merit and payout approvals, task assignment and status tracking, and role based approval routing to align compensation steps with business function owners. Configuration work included defining approval chains for incentive payouts, building validation checkpoints used during UAT, and enabling reporting slices used by administrators to troubleshoot process exceptions.
The JDXpert environment operated alongside other compensation tooling including MarketPay and Syndio, and was tied to HR systems through maintained compensation related tables that feed eligibility and employee data. Administrators developed and executed ad hoc queries using SQL, Crystal Reports and Power BI to validate datasets, reconcile payouts, and support integration checkpoints, while serving as the liaison between the compensation team and the HRIS team on operational needs.
Governance for the JDXpert implementation emphasized staged UAT, administrator led training and communications, and ongoing table audit processes to preserve data integrity. System administration responsibilities were embedded into compensation operations to sustain workflow configuration, address user issues, and support project level efforts such as employee recognition and annual total rewards statements.

Valley Children's Hospital | Healthcare | 1500 | $300M | United States | HRTMS | JDXpert | Task Management | 2017 | n/a |
In 2017, Valley Children's Hospital implemented JDXpert from HRTMS. The Task Management deployment was targeted at the hospital's HR and operational task orchestration for a 1500 employee organization.
JDXpert was configured to provide configurable workflows and role based task assignment, with custom logic embedded to orchestrate task state transitions and approvals. The implementation emphasized setup flexibility, automated task routing, and extract capabilities to enable downstream consumption consistent with Task Management functional workflows.
The deployment included a direct interface between JDXpert and the hospital HRIS system, and a set of extract feeds for use by other systems. Project workstreams built logic that flows between the HRIS and JDXpert to align assignments, worker attributes, and task triggers, while extract definitions were structured to support integration use cases.
Governance focused on configuration controls for interface logic, extract definitions, and change management overseen by HR operations and the application owner. The ability to customize the setup to accommodate the HRIS interface as well as extracts for other systems was cited as a major benefit of migrating to HRTMS, and that integrated logic is reported to be working well for the organization.
