Aegis Aged Care | Healthcare | 4500 | $640M | Australia | Mirus Australia | Mirus Works! | Workforce Management | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021, Aegis Aged Care implemented Mirus Works! as Workforce Management to support rostering and payroll functions across four Aegis locations. The deployment targeted rostering and time capture for approximately 200 employees including nurses, AINs, chefs, administration and management staff, while the broader organisation employs 4,500 staff overall.
Mirus Works! was used for core rostering, timesheet management, leave administration and roster error analysis, with operators utilising the Mirus rostering capability to detect overlapping shifts and account type mismatches. The implementation supported detailed timesheet review and amendment workflows, leave entry and reconciliation such as annual leave, long service leave and maternity leave payments, and interpretation of award conditions including the Nurses Federation Award. Complex spreadsheet processes were retained alongside Mirus Works! to handle bespoke payroll adjustments and reporting.
Operational processes routed employee master data and payroll inputs into Chris 21, with staff entered and maintained in Chris 21 for superannuation, tax declarations and payroll provisioning. Resident billing and accommodation account management continued in Epicor, with billing workflows for resident fees, RAD, RAC and other accommodation account types handled separately from Mirus Works! operationally. The solution therefore functioned within a multi-application stack where Mirus Works! focused on workforce scheduling and timesheet accuracy while Chris 21 and Epicor managed payroll and resident billing respectively.
Governance and day to day control rested with Payroll and Billing officers who reviewed and amended timesheets, reconciled leave entitlements, managed complex pay categories such as worker compensation averages and time in lieu, and processed employee onboarding entries into Chris 21. Billing duties included admitting and discharging residents in Epicor, creating fee and accommodation invoices and reconciling bank and client accounts, with compliance activities driven by award interpretation and structured timesheet review procedures.
