Beam Suntory Consumer Packaged Goods 6000 $3.1B United States Pimcore Software Pimcore DAM Digital Asset Management 2019 Lightning Jar
In 2019 Beam Suntory implemented Pimcore DAM as part of a broader Pimcore PIM/MDM deployment. The initiative used Pimcore DAM in the Digital Asset Management category to centralize product and marketing assets across dozens of brands and multiple countries. The implementation consolidated images, label artwork, recipes and related product media into a centralized asset repository, while applying metadata consolidation and taxonomy alignment to support search, reuse and governance. Pimcore DAM was configured to provide asset lifecycle controls and approval workflows for marketing and product teams, establishing a controlled content publishing process. Lightning Jar served as the implementation partner, executing integration and rollout workstreams to link Pimcore DAM with the existing Pimcore PIM/MDM deployment and the content distribution channels used by retailers, distributors and internal sales teams. Operational coverage included marketing, product management and commercial teams across multiple countries, enabling authorized external parties to access approved marketing content and product data. The rollout created a single source of truth for marketing and product content and streamlined content delivery to retailers and distributors, aligning asset management, approval governance and distribution workflows as described in the Pimcore case study.
Eberspacher Group Automotive 10600 $6.4B Germany Pimcore Software Pimcore DAM Digital Asset Management 2020 Valantic Fsa
In 2020, Eberspacher Group implemented Pimcore DAM as part of a combined PIM and DAM deployment to power a new Pimcore based B2B self-service and commerce portal for distributors, centralizing approximately 10,000 products and 36,000 media assets. This implementation positions Pimcore DAM as the Digital Asset Management backbone for product media, supporting catalog publication and partner content distribution across Europe and to global partners. The project explicitly used Pimcore DAM and Pimcore PIM modules to consolidate product records and media assets into a single content repository, and to operationalize translation management and catalog publication workflows. Configuration focused on unified product and asset records, media lifecycle management, and automated publication pipelines to feed the B2B commerce portal and distributor interfaces. Valantic served as the systems integrator on the engagement, integrating the Pimcore based PIM and DAM stack with the customer facing commerce portal and distributor onboarding flows. Operational scope covered distributor and partner channels in Europe and extended to global partner distribution, establishing a single source of truth for product information and media assets used by sales, channel, and technical documentation teams. Governance was reoriented toward centralized content stewardship and standardized translation workflows to accelerate catalog updates and partner enablement. The project explicitly improved time to market, translation management, and B2B partner efficiency, aligning Pimcore DAM Digital Asset Management with Eberspacher Group business functions for product content, channel commerce, and localization.
famila-Handelsmarkt Kiel Retail 600 $80M Germany Pimcore Software Pimcore DAM Digital Asset Management 2018 n/a
In 2018 famila-Handelsmarkt Kiel implemented Pimcore DAM as the Digital Asset Management backbone for a Pimcore-based, mobile-first relaunch of the famila-nordwest customer website. The implementation was aligned to preserve famila’s regional brand identity online while enabling centralized management of media used across the public site and editorial channels. Pimcore DAM was configured to centralize product imagery, recipe media, event assets and promotional creative, and to supply enriched assets to the Pimcore content management workflows. The implementation supported editorial enrichment of recipe content drawn from famila’s internal recipe database, and included asset metadata, visibility windows for event images, and managed media used in sweepstakes and promotion pages. Integrations implemented as part of the rollout included a connection to famila’s recipe database to import and enrich recipe content, storage of customer sweepstakes participation data within the Pimcore environment with export capability, and automated mailing triggers from Pimcore to confirm event registrations. The web front end used geolocation and postal code lookup to present nearby markets, a locally persisted shopping list notepad, and persistent market selection stored for returning visitors. Governance and operational changes centered on editorial workflows and asset lifecycle controls, including asset tagging conventions, content visibility periods for events, managed sweepstakes workflows, and data export procedures for participation records. Pimcore DAM therefore served as the centralized Digital Asset Management platform supporting marketing, e-commerce content, and customer-facing event and promotion processes for famila-Handelsmarkt Kiel.
