In 2024, Jungheinrich implemented SAP Subscription Billing as part of an integrated commercial technology stack connecting SAP S/4HANA and Icertis Contract Intelligence. The initiative is explicitly focused on Subscription and Recurring Billing to support sales operations and to maximize contract quotas across its customer base.
The implementation configures SAP Subscription Billing to manage subscription lifecycle workflows, automate billing schedules, and orchestrate invoicing and contract-driven billing events. SAP Subscription Billing is being used to align subscription pricing and revenue orchestration with contract terms extracted and standardized by Icertis, enabling tighter contract to cash coordination.
Architecturally the solution links Icertis Contract Intelligence with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Subscription Billing, surfacing contract metadata and obligations into billing and order orchestration processes. The deployment leverages Icertis NegotiateAI to analyze high-volume contracts and to surface negotiation insights, while Icertis maps contract clauses and obligations so they can be enforced within subscription billing workflows across the enterprise.
Governance and process change center on standardizing and automating contract creation, approval, and obligation management, with the contract platform providing a holistic view of the contract lifecycle to inform billing operations. The integration is intended to accelerate negotiations, streamline contract management, and mitigate contract risk by embedding contract intelligence directly into SAP Subscription Billing driven business processes.
