The Skype Chatbot was configured to interact directly with the institution's Pricing Engine database, and to trigger trade bookings that were validated through Wall Street Systems for downstream settlement.
The architecture combined a Skype bot front end, an API layer that accepted and returned JSON payloads, and the Pricing Engine Tool which provides comprehensive Foreign Exchange quoting and broadcasting of tradable price streams specific to clients. Functional capabilities covered bulletin mapping across internal product codes, real time rate retrieval, trade booking initiation, and integration points feeding the MODIF reporting application. QA artifacts and execution used JIRA and Confluence for requirements, HP ALM for functional, regression, negative and smoke testing in UAT and PreProd, Postman collections for API testing, Oracle SQL Developer and Hue for database and cluster queries, and Wall Street Systems for booking reconciliation.
