In 2019, Jungbunzlauer deployed SNP CrystalBridge to execute a Master Data Management migration into SAP S/4HANA 1605. The project used SNP CrystalBridge, The Data Transformation Platform, to perform a one step migration of ERP master data into the prepared S/4HANA tables as part of a controlled BLUEFIELD approach.
Jungbunzlauer operated its productive SAP ERP landscape on SAP EHP 7 running on a SAP Sybase database, and the migration path carried data from SAP ECC 6.0 EHP8 into a newly upgraded S/4HANA 1605 shell. The implementation created an empty target shell on S/4HANA 1605, then executed data transformation and conversion workflows so that source records were mapped and converted into the new S/4HANA table structures.
Functionally the SNP CrystalBridge implementation centered on data transformation, table level conversion, and automated load sequences typical of Master Data Management programs, with emphasis on preserving ERP master data integrity during conversion. The workstream addressed SAP ERP master data domains within the ERP landscape and integrated directly with the S/4HANA schema, moving transformed records into the operational S/4HANA database.
Governance for the cutover followed the BLUEFIELD methodology, using an empty upgraded shell and a single step migration into the prepared system to minimize structural divergence between source and target. The narrative documents a tooling driven, schema aware migration approach, where SNP CrystalBridge acted as the central data transformation engine orchestrating conversion into the new S/4HANA tables.

In 2021 NextEra Energy implemented SNP CrystalBridge as part of an SAP migration and transformation program to S4/HANA, initiating a multi phased data migration effort that ran from June 2021 through October 2023. The deployment targeted master data consolidation and synchronization across new S4/HANA and BW4/HANA landscapes, and was associated operationally with Florida Power & Light Company under an infrastructure lead responsible for the cutover architecture.
SNP CrystalBridge was used as the Master Data Management platform to orchestrate domain level harmonization, data extraction, transformation, and load activities typical of enterprise MDM projects, including customer, vendor, and material master consolidation. Configuration work included data mapping, reconciliation controls, and data quality rules to align source SAP ECC structures with S4/HANA target models while supporting the SAPGUI to SAP Fiori transition.
The implementation integrated explicitly with SAP technical components and migration streams, including ECC to S4/HANA, BW on HANA to BW4/HANA, SAP PI PO to SAP PO, and Oracle to HANA conversions. Infrastructure modernization was part of the scope, moving on premise workloads to AWS Cloud and replatforming IBM Power AIX workloads to AWS RHEL, with SNP CrystalBridge operating within the migration pipelines to coordinate master data flows and ensure consistency across the evolving landscape.
Governance was organized around centralized data orchestration into an embedded gateway architecture, reflecting the move from SAP Central to Embedded Gateway, and included process changes for data stewardship and cutover sequencing. The program emphasized system level orchestration between migration tools and SAP application stacks, positioning SNP CrystalBridge as the Master Data Management control point for master data governance during the S4/HANA transformation.
