In 2007 Ageas implemented SSP Select Insurance, a sales and administration system from SSP Group classified as Insurance ERP. The deployment focused on Ageas Retail, previously RIAS plc, where a contracted Senior Business Analyst from the product team acted as liaison between internal Product Management, panel member underwriters, product writers and the SSP Group products team to translate commercial scheme requirements into system configuration.
Functional scope emphasized core sales and administration capabilities typical of Insurance ERP, including scheme configuration, product configuration, underwriting rule capture and sales workflow orchestration, with configuration-driven product modeling used to represent insurer schemes. Governance relied on iterative requirements validation, acceptance testing and scheme sign-off led by Product Management and underwriter panels to ensure delivered schemes worked and met requirements, and the implementation integrated those operational workflows into centralized product administration processes.
