Amica | Manufacturing | 3100 | $851M | Poland | SUSE Group | SUSE Multi-Linux Manager | Operating System (OS) | 2022 | n/a |
In 2022, Amica implemented SUSE Multi-Linux Manager as part of an Operating System (OS) deployment alongside SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications to optimize and secure its SAP estate and SAP HANA systems. The engagement targeted IT and SAP operations in Poland, focusing on centralized lifecycle control across SAP application servers and HANA nodes within the manufacturing group's SAP landscape.
SUSE Multi-Linux Manager was configured as the central management hub for patching, software updates, and lifecycle management, while SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications provided the hardened OS platform for SAP workloads. Functional capabilities implemented included automated update orchestration, configuration drift control, and coordinated host-level lifecycle procedures to support SAP HANA maintenance windows and system-level consistency across SAP application tiers.
Operational coverage emphasized SAP operations and infrastructure teams in Poland, with governance centered on centralized update scheduling and lifecycle workflows managed through SUSE Manager. The deployment improved SAP system performance and reduced downtime as reported, with SUSE Multi-Linux Manager and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP Applications operating together to standardize OS management for the SAP estate.

Coop Group | Retail | 95826 | $40.7B | Switzerland | SUSE Group | SUSE Multi-Linux Manager | Operating System (OS) | 2023 | n/a |
In 2023, Coop Group deployed SUSE Multi-Linux Manager, an Operating System (OS) application, to centrally manage retail endpoints across its Swiss store estate. Coop Group used SUSE Multi-Linux Manager to address scalability and performance issues for large numbers of devices including cash registers and digital scales, aligning the application with retail operations and point of sale availability.
The deployment consolidated endpoint management onto a single SUSE Manager server, after SUSE engineering and support intervention in Switzerland, enabling the ability to manage 20,000 systems from one server. SUSE Multi-Linux Manager was configured to provide centralized provisioning, configuration management, patch orchestration, inventory and monitoring capabilities consistent with Operating System (OS) management workflows, with a focus on scalable device enrollment and performance tuning for high-density retail environments.
Operational coverage was scoped to Coop Group's Swiss store network and targeted store IT and POS functions, delivering centralized control and improved reliability for retail operations. Governance shifted to a centralized management model with server-side policy enforcement and consolidated operational procedures for endpoint lifecycle management, supported by SUSE engineering and support during the tuning and scale validation phases.

Viollier | Healthcare | 800 | $100M | Switzerland | SUSE Group | SUSE Multi-Linux Manager | Operating System (OS) | 2023 | Adfinis |
In 2023 Viollier deployed SUSE Multi-Linux Manager to centralize patching and lifecycle management across approximately 50 SLES instances in Switzerland, using the application as an Operating System (OS) management platform. The initiative targeted OS lifecycle controls and patch orchestration to strengthen security and reduce manual effort across the infrastructure.
The SUSE Multi-Linux Manager implementation delivered centralized patch management, automated update orchestration, inventory and configuration visibility, and role based access controls for operations teams. Configuration emphasized server grouping and scheduled maintenance windows to compress major update windows and reduce manual intervention during rollouts.
The deployment managed roughly 50 SLES instances and was executed across Viollier's Swiss operational footprint, supporting IT operations and security functions. Adfinis acted as the systems integrator, responsible for installation, configuration, testing, and operational handover to Viollier teams.
Governance introduced standardized patch policies and workflow automation to improve patch response and operational consistency. The project shortened a major update window from about 25 hours to about 4 hours and improved patch response and operational efficiency as part of the Adfinis implemented rollout.
