In 2019, Invest India deployed TCS DigiGOV as a Digital Workspace to host and monitor the National Infrastructure Pipeline on the India Investment Grid. The Tata Consultancy Services delivered a DigiGOV based portal that consolidated national level investment and infrastructure information into a single system focused on reporting, dashboards and search. The engagement was scoped to provide a national investment and infrastructure portal supporting Invest India’s public sector mandate.
The implementation used the TCS DigiGOV application architecture to assemble modular capabilities including a reporting engine, configurable interactive dashboards and enterprise search tailored to National Infrastructure Pipeline project records. The deployment incorporated content management and metadata indexing for NIP projects, monitoring workflows to track project life cycles and role based access controls to manage stakeholder visibility. Operationally the portal served Guidance and investor users across Tamil Nadu, with the TCS Guidance partnership beginning in September 2020 and the portal processing more than 1,000 applications within months of launch. The solution centralized application tracking and online payments into a single window interface to consolidate investor onboarding and permit approvals.
Governance and operational ownership were implemented jointly, with Tata Consultancy Services acting as systems integrator and Guidance retaining business process ownership, approval policies and user access governance. The implementation consolidated module level data into a single operational repository to support taxpayer servicing, compliance workflows and enforcement functions across revenue management activities.
Tata Consultancy Services led process re engineering and modernization activities alongside the technical rollout, aligning governance, role based access and workflow changes to the new TCS DigiGOV platform. The implementation explicitly enabled modernization and process re engineering across registration, returns, payments, taxpayer accounting, audits and collections within Uganda Revenue Authority.
