ABP Food Group | Consumer Packaged Goods | 14000 | $5.6B | Ireland | VMware by Broadcom | VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN | SD-WAN | 2021 | n/a |
In 2021, ABP Food Group deployed VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN as the foundation of a consolidated WAN and Network Security platform, following a competitive RFP where Kerv Connect was selected from 12 bidders to lead the transformation. The engagement was scoped to simplify and standardise wide area networking across all sites globally, aligning with the Group’s stated one network strategy and central policy objectives, using VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN as the SD-WAN core.
Kerv Connect recommended and executed proof of concept installations at problematic production sites to validate the SD-WAN design, proving improved capacity at one site and better application performance at another. The technical approach combined VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN routing and orchestration capabilities with Fortinet for Security and Remote Access, and leveraged strategic partnerships with Dell for hardware support, producing fully resilient connections for all sites and selective 4G adoption where wired connectivity was unreliable.
The implementation included design, installation, and a fully managed service to prevent additional operational burden on ABP’s IT team, centralising WAN policy, simplified security platform management, and standardised configurations across regions. Operational coverage extended to global sites, with the rollout strategy driven from POC validation to phased site adoption, and governance focused on standardisation and network security unification.
Outcomes documented during the RFP response and POC phase were tangible benefits from the proof of concept, including capacity and application performance improvements at targeted sites, and strengthened customer confidence due to the combined solution of VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN, Fortinet security, and Dell infrastructure components. The solution positioned ABP to proceed with a full SD-WAN rollout under Kerv Connect’s managed operations model.

All Tile, Inc | Distribution | 300 | $50M | United States | VMware by Broadcom | VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN | SD-WAN | 2018 | Coevolve |
In 2018, All Tile, Inc deployed VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN as its SD-WAN backbone to establish secure, fast connectivity across its distributed branch footprint. The project was implemented with systems integrator Coevolve and positioned VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN as the network fabric enabling greater cloud adoption for the distribution organization.
The deployment leveraged cloud-managed SD-WAN controllers and branch edge appliances to centralize policy orchestration and application aware routing, while providing traffic steering and segmentation for voice, video, and SaaS traffic. Configuration emphasized cloud onramps and application performance controls consistent with SD-WAN capabilities, enabling prioritization of voice over IP and media streams across the WAN.
Operational integrations included a full migration of network users to Office 365, a transition from plain old telephone system to VoIP, and consolidation of fax lines into cloud fax services. All Tile also deployed in-branch cameras and video capture devices and used cloud based services to manage both the devices and media, with the SD-WAN carrying high volume traffic that would otherwise have burdened an MPLS centric network.
Rollout and governance combined phased branch cutovers and centralized network management, aligning network operations with unified voice and media workflows and shifting operational responsibility toward cloud console based device management. The implementation enabled All Tile to move additional services to the cloud and to operate voice, fax, and video services over a single, managed SD-WAN fabric using VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN.

Arge Speichersiel Lengerchestieg Germany | Construction and Real Estate | 25 | $5M | Germany | VMware by Broadcom | VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN | SD-WAN | 2018 | n/a |
In 2018, Arge Speichersiel Lengerchestieg Germany implemented VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN to centralize WAN control and accelerate site connectivity, the deployment targeted core network infrastructure and WAN management functions. The VeloCloud VMware NSX SD-WAN implementation positioned the company to manage transport diversity and apply centralized policies across sites.
The implementation used VeloCloud orchestration for centralized management and policy driven routing, enabling rapid provisioning of new connections and template based configuration of edge devices. Functional capabilities explicitly implemented included link bonding and failover, support for multiple transport types including MPLS, ADSL and 4G, and redundant link architectures at each location with ADSL combined with 4G as backup.
Operational coverage extended to all company locations, with redundant local links configured to increase availability and stability. The deployment removed dependence on a single telco partner by enabling mix and match provider selection and by integrating multiple access circuits into the SD-WAN overlay. Videns IT services supported the rollout alongside VeloCloud as implementation partners.
Governance changes centered on centralized orchestration for WAN policy, simplified change control for adding connections, and operational handover to network operations for template based provisioning. According to customer feedback, the project achieved the stated objectives and delivered increased availability and faster site onboarding.
