Aspirus | Healthcare | 11000 | $1.1B | United States | symplr | symplr API ShiftSelect | Workforce Scheduling | 2016 | n/a | In 2016 Aspirus implemented symplr API ShiftSelect as its Workforce Scheduling application, establishing a formal program to standardize staff scheduling across Human Resources, Nursing Departments and Administration. The implementation assigned a dedicated oversight role that acted as subject matter expert for all Centricity applications within Aspirus and provided training and education to leaders, staff and end users to support consistent scheduling practices. The deployment focused on configuration and interface orchestration for scheduling workflows, with explicit responsibility to manage the collaboration and completion of interface builds for Kronos, Lawson and Centricity ShiftSelect. symplr API ShiftSelect was configured to support standard shift assignment, schedule edits, and rule-driven roster controls consistent with Workforce Scheduling functional terminology, while the team drafted action plans and led executive review meetings for proposed changes. Integrations were a core element of the project, with technical coordination across Kronos for timekeeping, Lawson for payroll and finance flows, and Centricity ShiftSelect as the clinical scheduling engine formerly known as API ShiftSelect. Operational coverage was enterprise level within Aspirus roles impacted by scheduling, and the implementation governed the sequencing of interface builds and cutover activities between systems. Governance and rollout control included serving as the single point of contact for project scheduling and change requests, delivering status reports to stakeholders for budgeting and planning, and partnering with HR, Nursing and Administration to establish consistent scheduling processes. Training, SME support and executive action plans were used to institutionalize schedule governance and operational workflow changes associated with the symplr API ShiftSelect Workforce Scheduling deployment. | |

Baylor Scott & White Health | Healthcare | 57000 | $16.4B | United States | symplr | symplr API ShiftSelect | Workforce Scheduling | 2015 | n/a | In 2015, Baylor Scott & White Health implemented symplr API ShiftSelect as a Workforce Scheduling solution. The deployment positioned symplr API ShiftSelect to centralize shift assignment and workforce scheduling workflows for the organization, leveraging API-driven schedule provisioning to align staffing with existing time capture and HR feeds. The implementation configured core Workforce Scheduling capabilities, including roster management, shift pick up and swap workflows, and automated schedule provisioning through the symplr API ShiftSelect interface. Configuration work emphasized integration points for time and attendance reconciliation and rule-based shift assignments, while preserving administrative controls for schedule approvals and on-call coverage within clinical and support departments. Architecturally the deployment followed a hybrid model, combining on-premises Linux and Microsoft Windows server components with cloud infrastructure elements on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Azure. symplr API ShiftSelect was integrated with PeopleSoft for HR master data, Kronos API and other time and attendance feeds for payroll reconciliation, Active Directory and Azure for identity and authentication, and ServiceNow, Net Motion and Cisco VPN for operational support and secure remote access, alongside Microsoft Office 365 and internally developed applications. Operational governance aligned technical ownership to existing teams including Active Directory administrator, O365 administrator, Time and Attendance administration, and server maintenance personnel.
