West Atlantic Group Transportation 450 $122M Sweden Humanity Humanity Employee Scheduling Workforce Scheduling 2014 n/a In 2014 West Atlantic Group deployed Humanity Employee Scheduling, implementing the Humanity Employee Scheduling application as its Workforce Scheduling solution for operational rostering. The deployment targeted airline maintenance operations based in Sweden, with primary scope around scheduling engineers who are frequently sent to different locations to repair and maintain aircraft, and covering broader frontline staff scheduling needs across the organization. Configuration emphasized detailed, location-aware shift generation and automated employee notifications, consistent with Workforce Scheduling functional practices. West Atlantic configured shift templates and location-specific assignments to reflect travel and site-based work, and enabled in-system notifications so employees receive working hours and location updates directly. Humanity Employee Scheduling also captured precise time data to support more accurate timesheet assembly and reconciliation. Operationally the implementation shifted scheduling work away from spreadsheet processes toward a centralized application, impacting operations planning and HR payroll workflows by improving visibility into exact working hours. Scheduling workflows for engineers and other staff were standardized, and recurring shift creation and notifications reduced manual coordination. West Atlantic reported that scheduling scale increased substantially, with the same time required to schedule 200 workers in Humanity as it previously took to schedule 30 workers in Excel, and that timesheet accuracy improved which supported more accurate staff pay. Governance and day-to-day process changes focused on centralized roster management, role-based scheduling responsibilities, and using the Humanity Employee Scheduling interface for shift publication and time capture. The rollout consolidated shift creation and notification into a single Workforce Scheduling application, enabling operational staff to produce more granular shift definitions and maintain consistent timesheet records.
