Howard Kennedy LLP | Professional Services | 400 | $75M | United Kingdom | Sage | Sage People (ex Fairsail) | Core HR | 2020 | n/a | In 2020 Howard Kennedy LLP implemented Sage People (ex Fairsail) as its Core HR to consolidate employee records and operational HR workflows for its London based practice and a headcount of roughly 400. The deployment followed a cloud SaaS HRIS model typical for Core HR applications, with configuration focused on benefits administration, compensation processes, performance management support, and statutory reporting workflows. Sage People (ex Fairsail) was configured to manage core employee data, benefits schemes administration including private medical and pension handling, compensation and annual salary review processes, and performance data capture. The implementation included workflow automation for auto enrolment compliance and support processes to produce P11Ds, plus structured use of job matching and benchmarking tools to inform pay decisions. The Core HR deployment was integrated operationally with the firm’s existing HR ecosystem, explicitly including Zest Flexible Benefits and Performance Leader as coexisting systems, and ongoing liaison with the payroll team for transactional handoffs and statutory submissions. The HR Analyst for Reward, Benefits and Systems served as the Sage People Super User, building management information, producing ad hoc reports and developing internal database extracts to feed benefits renewals and broker interactions. Governance centered on HR led process ownership for benefits renewals, gender pay gap reporting, salary review coordination and system stewardship, with the HR Analyst coordinating brokers and payroll to operationalize policy changes. The implementation therefore positioned Sage People (ex Fairsail) as the Core HR backbone for reward, benefits and people data while retaining connected point solutions for benefits enrollment and performance processes. | |
